Each programs begins with Foundational Nutrition, our introductory course. Whether you’re new to the field of nutrition or a seasoned professional, this prerequisite course provides the framework for becoming a Certified Nutrition Consultant.

Module 1 introduces the essential principles of holistic nutrition, with a focus on personalized, mindful eating and how specific foods uniquely impact individual health.
This module explores the role and function of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) and their effects on energy levels and overall health. You’ll understand how to support your clients in stabilizing their blood sugar and addressing different types of food-related symptoms to help them feel their best.
You’ll learn practical strategies for structuring meals to create optimal balance using a framework that accommodates various dietary preferences. You'll also gain the skills to effectively assess a client’s current eating habits and make thoughtful dietary recommendations that honor their individual nutritional needs and cultural food traditions. -
Module 2 emphasizes the importance of food quality, offering practical strategies to help you identify the most nutrient-dense foods. You’ll learn how to interpret nutrition facts, understand ingredient lists, and decipher various marketing claims.
You’ll also gain insights into preparation methods that reduce naturally occurring anti-nutrients present in certain foods to optimize bioavailability. This module also provides a foundational introduction to micronutrients, supplements, food additives and preservatives, digestion and absorption, bodily systems, and the microbiome.
